Enjoy family movie night and free outdoor movies at the park |
Raleigh's Pullen Park is set to host a delightful outdoor movie series this summer, offering a perfect opportunity for families and film enthusiasts to enjoy free outdoor movies under the stars.
Located at 520 Ashe Avenue, the park will transform its event lawn into an open-air cinema on the first Tuesday of each month from June through October 2026.
Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets and lawn chairs to settle in for an evening of entertainment.
Each screening is free and open to the public, with refreshments and popcorn available for purchase at the Pullen Café.
It's important to note that all screenings are weather-dependent; updates on potential cancellations will be provided on the Raleigh Parks website.
The movie lineup is as follows:
June 2, 7 p.m. – The SpongeBob Movie: Search for SquarePants (2025)
July 7, 7 p.m. – National Treasure (2004)
August 4, 7 p.m. – Movie selection to be announced
September 1, 6 p.m. – Wicked (2024)
October 6, 6 p.m. – Toy Story 5 (2026)
For those interested in more family movie night options, the Triangle area offers additional free outdoor movies throughout the summer.
For instance, Moore Square in downtown Raleigh, in partnership with the North Carolina Museum of Art, hosts monthly movie nights featuring films like "Shrek" on June 20 and "Wicked: For Good" on August 21.
These events include food trucks and themed activities, making them a great complement to Pullen Park's offerings.
Before heading out, it's advisable to verify event details with the venue or organizer, as schedules may change without notice.
Enjoy the season of free outdoor movies and make the most of these community gatherings! |
